Bookings
Bookings are how you turn a tutor you like into an actual lesson. This guide explains how to request a session, how a booking moves from request to confirmed lesson, and what to do once a session is finished.
Requesting a session
Each tutor sets their own weekly availability, which appears as open slots on their booking calendar. To request a session, simply choose a slot that suits you and send the request. The tutor is notified immediately and can either confirm or decline, depending on whether they are still free at that time.
You never have to worry about two students grabbing the same slot. Sino Tutor prevents double-booking at the database level, which means that once a slot is confirmed for you, it genuinely belongs to you and cannot be handed to someone else.
The booking lifecycle
Every booking moves through a clear set of stages so that both you and your tutor always know where things stand. A booking begins as requested, becomes confirmed once the tutor accepts it (or declined if they cannot make it), and finally ends as completed after the lesson takes place or cancelled if plans change beforehand.
You receive an in-app notification at each step, so you are never left guessing.
After a session
Once a session has been marked as completed, you can leave a star rating and a short written review. Honest reviews help other students choose well, and they reward the tutors who put genuine care into their lessons.
